I believe many of us are more excited about UNC football!!!

FTballgenius you must not know anything about basketball, you should stick to football since you know you are a genius. Anyway it is not Roy Williams fault and he should not go. The problem is we lost 4 out of 5 starters from last year (NBA Players now). These players that we have now had little to no college experiance, which is a differnt game then highschool. Yeah the same aspect is there but the game is faster, and the talent is going to be better. You have got to figure once in awhile you will have a losing season when 4 starters this year had a low game time average last year. Now that they have this year under them and hopefully getting confedance in the NIT we will be back in the hunt.

No.1 L Drew does not fit this system and does not have the handle to be a pg. He must be replaced.

sp;      No.2 UNC's big men have not finished around the basket and they avoid contact unlike Hansbrough did last 4 years.

No.3 UNC's W. Graves is not quick enough to play on the perimeter on this level.

No.4 M. Ginyard should have never been at UNC in the first place. They won a title without him last year.

No.5 D. Strickland has underachieved beyond measure when he was billed out of HS as a scorer.

No.6 The Wear twins are not true post players and why did Roy recruit 6-9 twins who have no post prescence. 

No.7 Roy Williams has proven that he is not a very good X's and O's coach to only muster 16 wins out of so many HS AA's.

No.8 Dean Smith underachieved with great talent while Roy has excelled with it. I will give Roy that.

No.9 UNC has no one on this team to go get them a basket when they need it.

No.9 Roy will be glad to start all 3 of his incoming recruits come this season and let Harrison Barnes do his thing.   

Maybe they're going after the top draft pick; after tonight's loss to FL ST, they are tied for dead last in the conference and have gone 2-10 in their last 12 games. With road games left against Duke and Wake Forest, they should be able to sew up last place pretty easily.

Wow, I'm going to do something I NEVER thought I'd do. I'm going to defend Roy Williams from a Tarheel Fan. Let me say, first off. No love lost here. I'm a diehard Ky Wildcat fan. So I'll just put that right out there. Now, I've never liked Carolina, but for a Tarheel fan to say it's time for Roy to go? What? Are you mental? He's won 2 national championships for you guys and he hasn't even been back with you guys but a few years. He has the # 1 recruit coming in next year and has had 3 injurys to deal with this year. I thought my teams fan base was wacky. But this takes the cake.

Thanks for the comment Phog.  I am not sure how it works it a recruit wants to back out of a commitment to a school.  They would have give careful consideration if this is the right move for them or not.  In the case of North Carolina, injuries have played a big part in poor performance this year although it is no excuse, they have just played bad in many games this year.

I have an honest question with no "bashing" intended.
Is there any concern that this season could/will cause next year's UNC recruits to look elsewhere?
I know they have signed, but will they seek a release?
What are your thoughts?

last year was a special year with special players.  Hard to get them all the time, including Carolina.  Very average talent this year at all positions.  Do not see any freshman or young players on the team that will move along with greatness.  Need more physical talent and better shooting at the guards.  Kentucky has the Freshman talent and it shows.  May be they could not get in to Carolina academically, who knows.  That is the type of talent that takes you a long way in the Hootie Johnson ncaa tunamint.  &nbs

 Roy in my honest opinion, has destroyed this team.  He needs to go!Did you say the coach that won 2 of the last 4 National Championships needs to go?  Your brain is cooked dude....Get help.
